The Angelus Student Film festival was an event that targeted young filmmakers still in their developmental stage. By giving these young adults a platform to showcase their work Angelus helped expose talented young filmmakers to the world and locally.
The Angelus Student Film Festival prided itself on cultivating and honoring future filmmakers as they explore and create works that respected the dignity of the human person and made the world feel like a better place.
Angelus Award winning films reflected values such as REDEMPTION, SPIRTUALITY, DIGNITY, TOLERANCE, EQUALITY, DIVERSITY, HOPE and TRIUMPH OF THE HUMAN SPIRIT – according to the film organizers.
The prizes up for grabs totalled more than $50,000 and were available to any filmmakers in Animation, Documentary & Audience Impact. Screenings took place at DGA, Hollywood.
Although the festival hasn’t run for a number of years, we hope to see it return one day as it had a great impact on the local community.
