Follow That Bird (1985)

This film from the 80s is generally considered to be one of the best Sesame Street movies ever made. It's currently sitting with a 92% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, which is a rating that puts most movies of any genre to shame. Keep an eye out for cameos from John Candy and Chevy Chase, plus Kermit even pops up!

I Am Big Bird: The Caroll Spinney Story (2015)

A touching documentary about the man who played Big Bird for 49 years, and why he loved the job so much. Sadly Caroll died in 2019, just a year after he stopped the role. His part in Sesame Street meant so much to him, and this documentary really reflects that. Definitely give this a watch.

Christmas Eve on Sesame Street (1978)

Christmas Eve on Sesame Street was a Christmas special from the late 70s, and although there have been quite a few Sesame Street Christmas movies, this is generally regarded as the best of the bunch. Make sure you stick this on during the festive period!

Street Gang: How We Got to Sesame Street (2021)

This documentary from last year is a great overview of Sesame Street and gives a real insight into the history and inception of the show. The movie features loads of never-before-seen footage and shows just how much creativity went into the making of the show.
