If you’re based in the USA and you want to watch I Am Legend online in excellent quality for free (yes, 100% free), there’s a great legal method you can use right now (August 2026), here’s how to do it:
At the moment, you can stream I Am Legend for free via Howdy, a service you can use for free via Prime Video with a free trial (even if you don’t have Prime Video). It’s super easy to start and cancel this free trial, and as long as you remember to cancel the Howdy free trial after you’ve watched the movie and before the 7 days are over, you won’t be charged anything at all. There’s no catch – this is just a great way to stream this movie for free in crystal-clear quality without any annoying pop-up ads or sketchy websites!
All you need to do is:
- head to the page for I Am Legend on Prime Video
- start the 7 day free trial for Howdy (there’s a button to do that on the page as shown in the image above)
- watch the moviewithin the 7 day period
- cancel the Howdy free trial before the 7 days are up (which is very easy to do within your Account settings)
- and that’s it – you just watched I Am Legend online in excellent quality for free without paying anything!
As long as you cancel the Howdy free trial before the 7 days are up, no payments will be taken, as explained on the Prime Video I Am Legend page here.
Don’t have Prime Video? No problem!
You can do this free trial very easily if you already have Prime Video, but even if you don’t already have Prime Video, it’s no problem. You can still start the free trial for Howdy as long as you have an Amazon account:
As long as you remember to cancel the free trial before the 7 days are over, you won’t pay anything! You can learn more on the I Am Legend Prime Video page here.
