If you’re based in the USA and you want to stream The Abyss in Ultra High Definition for free right now (yes, completely free), you can do that 100% legally at the moment (May 2026), here’s how:
At the moment, you can stream The Abyss for free via AMC+, a service you can use for free via Prime Video with a free trial (even if you don’t have Prime Video). It’s super easy to start and cancel this free trial, and as long as you remember to cancel the AMC+ free trial after you’ve watched the movie and before the 7 days are over, you won’t be charged anything at all. There’s no catch – this is just a great way to stream this movie for free in crystal-clear quality without any annoying pop-up ads or sketchy websites!
All you have to do is:
- head to the page for The Abyss on Prime Video
- start the 7 day free trial for AMC+ (there’s a button to do that on the page as shown in the image above)
