Netflix have announced today that they will be producing a comedy series based on the hit indie game, 'Cuphead'
The series will be called 'The Cuphead Show' and will be produced by Netflix and King Features Syndicate (a company owned by Hearst). Cuphead creators Chad and Jared Moldenhauer (brothers) will serve as executive producers on the show.
Hm, bit of a weird one. I'm a big fan of the Cuphead game and love the art style, but I wouldn't exactly say there's a gripping story holding it all together. Depending on your outlook on game adaptions, this could be a good thing or a bad thing - more often than not trying to carry a game story over a movie just doesn't work. But for the art style alone, plus the fact that this is a comedy series, I'm definitely more intrigued and excited rather than worried.
