Syndey Sweeney is one of the hottest names in Hollywood right now, and although some will try to convince you that her popularity is purely based on her good looks, ‘Immaculate’ is proof that there is a lot more to Syndey Sweeney than just that.

Firstly, I want to speak about the poster of this movie:
NEON
Looking at it, and with a name like ‘Immaculate’, there is very little to suggest what this movie is actually about. But that doesn’t really matter to the studio – they just want you to know that Sydney Sweeney is in it. It’s literally just a close-up of her face and nothing else.
I’ll start by saying that, aside from skimming a few reviews which seemed quite positive, I was fully prepared for this movie to be bad. But I’m happy to report that it really wasn’t. In fact, it was actually pretty great.
‘Immaculate’ starts very slowly, and you have to stick with it for quite a while before you get anything that I’d describe as scary or disturbing. But when it does come, I’d definitely say it’s worth the wait.
It’s really Sydney Sweeney that carries this movie, and nothing epitomizes this more than the amazing last 10 minutes or so. Sydney Sweeney goes full snotty nose and proves that she has real range. Crucially, it’s also really quite disturbing, and certainly had me squirming in my seat. It was one of those cinema experiences where everyone remained in their seats for a few moments after the credits started rolling, as if we all needed a moment to compose ourselves before heading out.
Also, it’s worth mentioning the gore in this movie – it’s proper gorey. Like, squishy face, lots of blood gorey. Which I was pleasantly surprised by.
So yes, please watch ‘Immaculate’ if you’re looking for a decent enough horror movie that will keep your interest and has a very memorable ending.
