When ‘Side Effects’ was released in 2013, director Steven Soderbergh claimed that it would be the last movie he ever made. We’re glad it wasn’t, because in the 10 years since ‘Side Effects’ was released he’s continued to make some excellent movies, including ‘Logan Lucky’ and ‘Unsane’.
We feel that ‘Side Effects’ is quite an underrated movie within the Soderbergh back catalogue; it features some excellent performances from Rooney Mara and Channing Tatum, as well as a cutting satire of Big Pharma and the American Medical system.
