Our review
It's almost hard to review 'Lone Survivor' because it's based on such an incredible true story, but luckily I feel the movie does the story of Marcus Luttrell justice. Wahlberg shows his range and there is a great supporting cast. Interestingly, Luttrell is friends with Chris Kyle, who is portrayed by Bradley Cooper in 'American Sniper'.
At first glance, Lone Survivor looks similar to several films in the genre but this is a standout movie. It works as an entertaining action war film that keeps you tense the entire time but is also a raw look at a true story from the war in Afghanistan. You connect with the characters and the relationship between them feels as real as the stunts during the hill fall scene. Some of those scenes are hard to watch and that is exactly what you want in order to even get close to understanding what they went through. Here is the streaming information:
In the US you can currently only stream Lone Survivor via SlingTV. This is a fairly popular streaming service that has a number of good movies available to stream.
If you don't have access to SlingTV then you buy or rent Lone Survivor to watch online via platforms such as iTunes, Google Play Movie, Prime Video, VUDU, FandangoNOW, Redbox and Microsoft Store for as little as $3.99.
