The Interview
Controversial satirical comedy about an American talk show host and producer who score an interview with the North Korean leader Kim Jong-un after they discover that he is a fan of the show.
After a fellow television producer criticises Skylark Tonight, the talk show that Aaron Rapaport (Seth Rogen) produces, he and host Dave Skylark (James Franco) decide that they want to raise the credibility of the show with an exclusive interview with Kim Jong-Un (Randall Park).
Seeing this unprecedented contact with the North Korean leader as an opportunity to take out on of America’s most powerful enemies, the CIA recruit Skylark and Rapaport to assassinate their interviewee. They reluctantly agree, armed with poison.
After arriving in North Korea, they meet Kim’s chief propagandist Sook-yin Park (Diana Bang) and later Kim himself. Skylark spends time with Kim and the two become friendly, with Skylark beginning to question whether Kim really is the evil dictator he is made out to be. Later, an experience in Pyongyang makes him question his position once again.
Meanwhile, Rapaport grows closer to Sook and she reveals secrets to the producer about Kim and life in North Korea.
The two Americans must decide whether or not they will go ahead with the assassination, or if they can hatch their own plan which they, the CIA and their new North Korean friends will all be happy with.
